How to Register:
Registration is taken year-round.
You can register by calling (865)453-9702 or come by the studio during our office hours.
The EWSD information office is located inside the Top of the Line Dancewear shop for registration information and general questions. It is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
The accounting and registration office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. For any questions concerning your tuition account or payments please contact Karen. You may call her at 865-453-9702 during office hours.
The viewing windows will be open the first lesson of each month. Please remember to be as quiet as possible when watching through the window, as it can be a distraction to the students. To benefit the students, instructor discretion is used regarding opening the blinds during regularly scheduled classes. Please refrain from asking your instructor to open the blinds on other days. Exceptions may be made for out of town relatives, please consult with your instructor at the beginning of class.
In late May or early June, we end our season with a fully staged, professional recital. We encourage, but do not require our students to participate. Recital is a wonderful and exciting opportunity for the student to showcase all accomplishments made throughout the year for family and friends. A $30.00 recital fee, due November 1st, is charged per student to cover overhead expenses such as the venue rental and props. There is no admission charge for the recital.
Recital and costume fees may be paid in 3 monthly installments which will be due September 1, October 1, and November 1 or paid in full at any time prior to November 1st. Dress Rehearsal is on Saturday with the recital performance on Sunday. We ask that ALL students attend the dress rehearsal. It is extremely important to all the students to become familiar with the stage and the procedures of the recital. Dress rehearsal is in full costume, hair and make-up and is a complete performance of the show. Depending on how many classes your child participates in, the dress rehearsal and recital performances may be on two weekends. Please plan accordingly and try to plan vacations and other activities so that you are available both Saturday and Sunday of the recital weekend. As soon as the recital venue is secured you will be notified of the date and times of the dress rehearsals and recital performances.
Attendance and Make-up Classes
Missed lessons should be made up in the same type and level of class. If you are having trouble making arrangements for a make up class please check with your instructor or the office for possible make-up classes/times.
NO refunds will be given for missed lessons. We encourage students to make up ALL missed classes.
EWSD does NOT always close when Sevier County or other school systems close due to weather. In the event of inclement weather, closings will not be announced until 2:00 pm as conditions often improve in the afternoon. Parents will receive notification by email. You may also listen to the Sevierville radio station, MIXX 105.5 for closing information or follow us on facebook. If classes are canceled due to weather, you are entitled to a make up class. Please check with your instructor for the appropriate class time.
Tuition is due the 1st week of each month and can be paid by monthly credit/debit card, automatic bank draft or paid in full by the semester or annual session. Monthly cash payments are allowed in some situations, these must be pre-approved. If paying cash monthly you must pay one month tuition in advance. If for any reason your tuition is late there is a $20 late fee. If your account becomes more than one (1) month past due, your child will not be allowed to participate in class until the account has been paid. A $25 fee will apply to all returned checks.

Tuition is the same each month regardless whether the month has 3, 4 or 5 weeks or holidays. It averages to 4 weeks per month over the entire session. It is paid monthly, September through May. Discounts are available for tuition paid in full for the semester or full year. This excludes company members level III, IV & V as their rate already includes discount. Semester tuition and full year tuition with discounts are non-refundable. All tuition is non-refundable.
Proper dance attire is needed in order to correctly execute all movements. Wearing proper dance attire enables the instructor to see body placement and body lines which ensures proper corrections by the instructor. Proper attire for each type of class is listed below. All required items can be purchased at TOP OF THE LINE DANCEWEAR, our in house dancewear boutique. They will be happy to assist you in fulfilling your dancewear needs.
Ballet/Pointe: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
Jazz: Leotard or dance top, booty shorts, jazz shoes
Tumbling: Leotard or tank top/t-shirt and shorts. No half tops for any age in tumbling
Hip-Hop: Leotard or comfortable clothing, hip-hop shoes or soft sole sneakers
Lyrical: Leotard or dance top, tights, dance shorts
Tap: Leotard or dance top, tights, dance shorts, tap shoes
Stretch/Turn/Jump: pink ballet shoes or jazz shoes, Leotard, or comfortable clothes (not baggy)
Cheer: Leotard or T-shirt and shorts and tennis shoes
If taking multiple classes on one day you may dress in something suitable for either class. No half tops for anyone 12 and under in any class.
